An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced physiotherapist to join our Chronic Pain Physiotherapy team to develop specialist knowledge, skills and experience in the multidisciplinary management of chronic pain.
The Pain Service in Norwich offers highly specialist services such as Pain Management seminars and programmes, spinal cord stimulation, ACT psychology groups, individual physiotherapy, occupational therapy and psychology services as well as medical interventions and medication management.
Our goal is to empower patients to develop robust self‑management strategies whilst supporting them with a range of medical and multidisciplinary interventions as appropriate. Treatment is based on the latest guidelines from NICE and the BPS, along with other robust scientific evidence.
The post is suitable for individuals who have completed their core rotations (on a Band 5 Physiotherapist rotation programme, or similar) and have experience in relevant settings who are looking to develop specialist skills in this field.
Continuous Professional Development is actively supported through an established appraisal system, in‑service training and postgraduate library facilities. There will be peer review and support/training from all members of the team. Attendance at appropriate courses and other learning will be encouraged.

Responsibilities
* Senior Physiotherapist responsible for the physiotherapy management of a defined caseload of patients within the pain management specialty.
* To assess, prioritise and manage own caseload of patients, determine clinical diagnosis and treatment indicated, and maintain records as a legally autonomous practitioner. Patient presentation may be complex/highly complex.
* Work will be undertaken without direct supervision. Clinical/professional supervision may take the form of formal training, clinical reasoning sessions and occasional direct observation of practice. Advice and support is always available.
* To provide clinical leadership within the speciality including educational, professional and managerial guidance.
* To have an active role in the planning, development, coordination, delivery and evaluation of the physiotherapy service provided to patients within and out‑reaching from the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
* To deputise for the Physiotherapy Operational Lead or Senior physiotherapy staff as required.
