Known for their collaborative culture and strong development pathways, they're now looking to add an Underwriting Assistant to their high-performing team.Role OverviewThis is an excellent opportunity for an insurance professional with 1-2 years' experience who's looking to step into a more technical and visible support role. As an Underwriting Assistant, you'll work closely with experienced underwriters and brokers, supporting the full underwriting lifecycle and gaining valuable exposure to underwriting strategy, client relationships, and operational best practice.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with the preparation and review of underwriting documentation and quotationsSupport policy administration tasks including data entry, policy issuance, endorsements, and renewalsLiaise with brokers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely responses to queriesMaintain accurate records in underwriting and CRM systemsHelp underwriters with the collation of information needed for pricing and risk evaluationRun bordereaux reports and ensure MI is up to date and accurateSupport audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements where neededContribute to ad hoc projects and continuous process improvement initiativesKey Requirements1-2 years of experience within an insurance environment (broking, underwriting, or insurance operations)Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesExcellent attention to detail and a proactive mindsetClear and confident communication skills, both written and verbalComfortable using Microsoft Office and insurance systems (e.g., Acturis, Whitespace, etc.)Enthusiastic about building a long-term career in underwriting or underwriting operationsProgression towards CII qualifications is advantageous but not essentialWhat's on OfferExposure to a broad range of underwriting classes and marketsA supportive, inclusive, and fast-paced environmentClear career development and training supportHybrid working (typically 3 days in-office)Competitive salary and benefits packageHow to ApplyIf you're looking for your next step in the London insurance market and want to join a forward-thinking MGA with real progression opportunities, we'd love to hear from you.
