HGV Technician required in Southampton, Hampshire

Duties of the HGV Technician include:
7. Receiving and reviewing job cards as allocated by the workshop controller
8. Carrying out routine maintenance and diagnosing additional repairs needed
9. Testing vehicles and system components using advanced diagnostic equipment
10. Examining vehicles for damage or malfunctions and performing repairs or replacements
11. Relining, adjusting, and replacing brakes and other critical systems
12. Servicing air conditioning, heating, electrical, and cooling systems
13. Identifying faults, determining necessary tools and parts, and ensuring quality standards are met
14. Conducting inspections and tests to evaluate vehicle performance and safety
Candidate Specification for the HGV Technician role:
15. Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in HGV repair, LCV, or Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
16. Previous experience working within a commercial vehicle environment
17. Strong technical understanding and problem-solving skills
18. Adaptable team player with a proactive 'can do' attitude
19. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
20. Leadership qualities and customer service orientation
