What you will do

* Operational Leadership: Lead and manage the daily operations of the Children in Care residential unit, creating a safe and supportive environment.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to Ofsted regulations and children’s homes standards.
* Care Planning: Deliver high-quality care planning aligned with the Children Act 1989.
* Team Management: Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of residential care staff, promoting high standards of practice.
* Safeguarding: Prioritise safeguarding and embed robust child protection practices.
* Risk Management: Oversee placement planning, risk assessments, and effective behaviour management strategies.
* Multi‑Agency Working: Collaborate with social workers, education providers, health professionals, and external partners.
* Resource Management: Manage budgets efficiently while optimising staffing and resources.
* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records to meet regulatory requirements.
* Young People Outcomes: Support children and young people to achieve positive outcomes in education, health, and independence.
