About this opportunity
We'rethe team that looks after the customer data for the whole of Lloyds Banking Group. Our mission is to make this data available for the right purpose with theappropriate confidentialityand always ensuring a phenomenal engineering experience based on performance, resilience, and integrity.
We'relooking for an outstanding collaborator that can drive strategy and key initiatives forward, while being an advocate for excellence, culture, and sustainability. You'recomfortable in a software engineering role, blending both solid experience and technicalexpertise.
Whatyou’llbe doing:
1. Design, build andmaintainscalable, resilient engineering solutions supporting Customer Data Services.
2. Build, migrate and manage CI/CD pipelines using Harness, driving automation,speedand reliability across delivery.
3. Deploy andoperatecontainerised applications using Docker, Kubernetes and Helm.
4. Configure and support Java runtimes, including Open Liberty.
5. Improve platform reliability through operational support and SRE practices.
6. Build and optimise cloud‑native services across OCP and GCP platforms.
7. Collaborate with engineering,architectureand product teams to influence strategy and promote modern engineering standards.
Whatyou’llneed:
8. Hands on Software Engineering background with 8-12 years’ experience in building large scale applications, using afairly broadset of tools, techniques, and platforms.
9. Experience deploying solutions usingcontainerisationtechnologies, in particular Docker,Kubernetesand Helm.
10. Passionate about continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automation (Nexus, Git, Jenkins, shell scripting, etc.)
11. Experience working with cloud technologies such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP),AWSor Azure
12. Comfortable configuring Java Application Servers such as Open Liberty
13. Some experience in operational support, ideally following SRE principles
Nice to have:
14. Experience in Service Mesh (Istio)
15. Hands-on with Harness CI/CD for automated build and deployment pipelines.
16. Have an awareness of security considerations and security tools used to integrate with the build pipeline covering OWASP top 10
17. An understanding of network protocols & security
