3. Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

Are you a confident communicator with a passion for customer service and a knack for lead generation?

SGS is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Support Executive to join our dynamic team in Shepton Mallet. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in sales within a fast-paced, B2B environment

This Internal Sales position is focused on driving business growth by supporting the external sales team. You'll play a key role in identifying, researching, and generating new leads, as well as maintaining and expanding relationships

What You’ll Be Doing

5. Lead Generation & Prospecting: Proactively call and email potential clients, uncover new opportunities, and raise awareness of SGS solutions.

6. Market Intelligence: Conduct competitor analysis and monitor industry trends to help shape our strategy.

7. Customer Support: Handle inbound enquiries via phone, email, Teams, and chatbot.

8. Sales Support: Create quotes and proposals, progress leads, and coordinate meetings for the sales team.

9. CRM Management: Maintain and update client records, monitor contract performance, and report on activity using Salesforce.

10. Client Development: Re-engage lapsed clients and explore opportunities within existing accounts.

11. Administrative Duties: Assist with onboarding, document management, and invoice/payment queries.

Qualifications

Essential Skills & Experience

16. Confident cold caller and natural lead generator
17. Strong commercial awareness and customer service mindset
18. Previous experience in a phone-based, B2B technical or logistics environment
19. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
20. Self-motivated, well-organised, and able to manage multiple priorities
21. Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems ( Salesforce)

Desirable

22. Background in customs, logistics, or related technical services
23. Experience working with measurable performance targets
24. Customer service or sales administration qualification
