Job Title: Internal Account Manager Location : Hybrid 1-day in office, Covent Garden About the role: We are looking for an Internal Account Manager (I A M) to join our Knowledge Solutions team at BSI. In this role, you will manage the full lifecycle of an assigned portfolio of subscription customers, ensuring renewal targets are met while identifying opportunities to grow business within existing accounts and acquire new customers. You’ll be working with a diverse portfolio of clients across all sectors who subscribe to BSI or our primary online solution, BSI Knowledge a standards management tool providing access to British and International Standards. This platform helps organizations manage compliance, supply chains, health and safety, business continuity, governance, and quality. This is an exciting opportunity to combine relationship management, business development, and strategic account planning, all while delivering exceptional customer service and supporting the growth of BSI’s Knowledge Solutions business. Responsibilities Managing a portfolio of subscription accounts to ensure timely renewals through phone, email, and face-to-face interactions where required. Providing exceptional customer service and end-to-end resolution of customer queries. Building strong working relationships within client accounts and expanding contact networks to maximize engagement. Identifying cross-sell and up-sell opportunities and collaborating with relevant teams to deliver results. Developing and implementing individual account strategies tailored to each client’s needs. Managing a renewal pipeline and keeping CRM records accurate and up-to-date. Producing monthly and ad-hoc reports for the Inside Sales Manager. Contributing to the overall success of the Sales and Marketing team by supporting team initiatives and projects. Attending exhibitions and conferences as required. To be Successful in the Role You Will Have… Proven experience in account management or sales via telephone, including opportunity identification, negotiation, objection handling, and closing deals. Excellent customer service skills with a drive to exceed expectations. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with exceptional English proficiency. The ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels within client organizations. Highly motivated, target-driven, and organized, with strong time management skills. A collaborative team player who can see the bigger picture and share knowledge effectively. A positive, proactive approach with a desire to learn and embrace challenges. Intermediate proficiency in SAP, Salesforce, Word, Excel, and basic skills in PowerPoint. Educated to A-level or equivalent, with GCSEs in English and Mathematics.
