Procurement Manager - Indirects (MRO, Logistics, FM, Operations, Warehousing) | £60,000 to £65,000 | £5,000 car allowance | bonus | great Pension | 25 days holiday + BH | Healthcare | many more benefits | REMOTE ROLE - fully flexible working with occasional site visits throughout the year
This role involves working for a global household business managing key indirect spend categories such as MRO, International Freight, Warehousing, Operational Spend, and Utilities. The role reports to the Head of Category Management and requires an experienced procurement professional with a broad range of indirect category management experience.
Role and responsibilities:
* Create strategies for procurement, ensuring delivery and performance, including annual savings
* Develop category plans to align with the group, leveraging suppliers to support local offices
* Engage and influence senior stakeholders from Director to Board level
* Build relationships with key stakeholders to monitor supplier performance
* Monitor supplier risk and performance using reporting tools
* Promote procurement values and standards within the company
* Ensure business receives excellent service while achieving cost efficiency
Experience and requirements:
* Experience in indirect procurement within large, complex businesses
* Preferred categories include Warehousing, International Freight, MRO, Logistics & Operations
* Procurement experience in the private sector, ideally in a global company
* Experience managing global projects with Tier 1 & Tier 2 suppliers of significant value
* Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills at senior levels
* Strategic approach to procurement and supplier management
* Excellent communication skills across cultures and regions
* Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment
* MCIPS qualification is desirable but not essential
