The University of Nottingham is seeking a Gardener/Groundworker to undertake all practical aspects of landscape maintenance, including planting a wide range of shrubs, perennials, young plants, and seedlings.
The successful candidate will work with the team to maintain the upkeep of ornamental gardens and bedding displays, keeping all areas of work clean and tidy while promoting a welcoming campus with a strong emphasis on the environment and health and safety.
Candidates should be qualified to NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in amenity horticulture, or a related discipline, or have substantial relevant experience. They should also have knowledge of a range of trees, shrubs, and perennials and preferably hold an NPTC – PA1 and PA6A pesticide application certificate.
The post is offered on a permanent basis, with a salary of £24,727 to £27,720 per annum pro-rata. The hours of work are full-time, 36.25 hours per week, to be worked 5 days out of 7, with flexibility to work weekends as required.
