Job Description
Overview
To maintain, inspect, repair and test Menzies aviation and external customers vehicles to prescribed standards in accordance with Department for Transport (DfT), manufacturer and Heathrow airport.
Main accountabilities include:
* To maintain, inspect, repair and test Menzies Aviation and external customers vehicles.
* Prepare, present, and accompany all HGV and non-HGV vehicles, to annual MOT inspections.
* Carry out periodic safety inspections to all Menzies aviation Vehicles to VOSA inspection manual standards.
* Carry out fault diagnosis on complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
* Carry out welding, fabrication and body repairs as required.
* Attend broken down or accident damaged vehicles and effect permanent or running repairs as required.
* Complete associated paperwork to ensure that all statistics and legal information are produced, updated dedicated workshop system, as necessary.
* Ensure that all relevant Health and Safety procedures are adhered to.
* Maintain work areas in a safe and clean condition.
* Carry out any other duties as instructed by the supervisor, which are commensurate to the grade of this post.

Qualifications and Experience
* Experience of working with all types of HGV and light commercial maintenance and repairs.
* City and Guilds level 3, NVQ or equivalent.
* Flexible and service minded.
* Physically fit (must pass Airside Driving Medical).
* Work under pressure yet maintaining high standards.
* Work as part of a team and follow instructions.
* Punctual and reliable.
* Must be able to work varied shift patterns.
* Must be able to provide a 5-year checkable reference.
