About the Role Senior UX Designers play a critical role in ensuring digital services are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with user needs. Working closely with user researchers, product managers, and developers in Agile environments, the UX consultant uses research insights to inform interaction design, champion inclusive design principles, and lead the delivery of user-focused solutions. This position suits someone who brings not only advanced UX design expertise but also a strong consultancy mindset, capable of mentoring others, influencing stakeholders, and navigating complex challenges. Key Responsibilities Lead multidisciplinary Agile teams to design user-centred services that address real user needs Apply inclusive design principles and accessibility best practices to create intuitive digital experiences Provide expert consultancy to clients on solving complex service challenges through UX and human-centred design Influence and educate internal teams and clients on UX design strategy and approaches Build and manage strong stakeholder relationships, while confidently managing difficult conversations when necessary Offer line management, mentoring, or training to interaction designers and junior team members Support recruitment, community events, business development, and the promotion of the consultancy's design capability Contribute thought leadership through blogs, talks, and engagement in the wider UX community Skills & Experience Required Strong background in UX design with a portfolio demonstrating impact across diverse sectors Experience working in Agile, multidisciplinary teams to deliver user-centred services Proven track record designing for accessibility and inclusive digital experiences Advanced stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including the ability to manage conflict and present complex ideas clearly Experience leading or mentoring UX professionals or interaction designers Solid understanding of adjacent roles and disciplines (e.g. service design, product management, front-end development) Comfortable navigating ambiguity, defining problem spaces, and proposing strategic design solutions Strong consultancy skills, with the ability to build client confidence and guide project direction effectively Reference: AMC/RHU/SUX ryhu
