East Anglia Children’s Hospices (EACH) is looking for a Retail Shop Manager to lead the team at our brand new Aldeburgh Shop. This is a fantastic opportunity to join EACH’s vibrant retail team, shaping a new store from the beginning to maximise income from donated goods, new products, Gift Aid, and eCommerce.
You’ll support a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, drive community engagement, and ensure a welcoming, inclusive and efficient retail environment while supporting children and young people with life‑threatening conditions and their families.
Our Aldeburgh Shop is EACH's newest shop located on the popular High Street and due to open Summer 2026.
What you’ll be doing
* Leading a team of staff and volunteers to deliver outstanding customer service and maximise income from donated goods, new products, Gift Aid, and eCommerce.
* Creating a welcoming, inclusive and well‑presented shop environment.
* Driving performance through effective merchandising, pricing, and promotional activity.
* Building strong relationships in the local community to encourage donations and volunteer support.
* Managing day‑to‑day operations including health & safety, stock rotation, and financial reporting.
What we’re looking for
* Experience in retail management, ideally in a dynamic retail or charity setting.
* A warm, inclusive and motivating leadership style.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Confidence using tills, tablets and online platforms (e.g. eBay).
* A commitment to EACH’s values and mission.
* Experience of working with volunteers would be an advantage, however this role would also suit a candidate with high street retail experience.
