About The Role Role summary: The Material Controller Warehouseman is required to ensure the control of all materials delivered to, and shipped from, the Company warehouse. Ensuring all materials are stored and shipped in accordance with company and client procedures. We require 2 Material's Controller / Warehouseman to work on a short-term (4 months ) back to back rota. 6 days per week, 10 hrs per day, Sunday - Friday work pattern. This role is required to support an upcoming TAR scope at our client's base in Grangemouth. Candidates must have had previous experience in receiving & dispensing of materials on a similar construction project and must have a full UK drivers licence for this role An immediate start is available. Responsibilities: Implement the SCM systems on projects, ensuring that all procedures and instructions are deployed across the project to effectively manage interfaces and use of the systems Ensure receiving area, bulk storage, picking/packing, and quarantine areas are maintained to allow for appropriate storage of materials Ensure compliance to the site material control strategy is completed with the support, agreement, and approval of the project Construction focal point and Supply Chain Manager Coordinate unloading and good receipting of deliveries made to warehouse Undertake allocation and distribution of materials to sites, fabrication facilities, warehouses, and contractors to support the project construction schedule Coordinate and agree with Client, Commissioning, Construction, and Operations the process, procedure, and requirements for identification and shipment of project materials Prepare necessary paperwork for onward shipping, including manifest preparation, and compliance with dangerous goods legislation Coordinate packing of containers in line with industry standards Liaise with Offshore Material Control to provide status, resolve all materials queries and any OS&D reports Prepare disposal forms for project approval Assist with control and guidance of other Company personnel during warehouse visits, responding to their queries as required and ensuring their compliance with Company and warehouse QHSE policies and procedures Adhere to the Company Integrated Management System Comply with quality assurance, health and safety and environmental policies Adhere to the requirements of the best practice standards recommendations and processes, in particular, risk assessment and control, reliability and failure prevention necessary to ensure the safe design, provision and use of tools, equipment and systems About You Qualifications: Educated to standard grade level or equivalent, with passes in Math & English Manual Handling Training General Hazard Identification Training Valid UK Drivers License Forklift Training (preferred) OPITO Approved LOLER Competent Person or ECITB APML TAP01 or equivalent (preferred) Dangerous Good Training (preferred) Experience / competence: Previous experience in a similar role Awareness of the application of COSHH legislation Competent in the use of MS Office Applications including Excel Excellent written and spoken English Personal attributes: Our GENES, our core values, define who we are, what we stand for and how we deliver.
