Junior Accountant role in a growing leisure/hospitality company. This is a great opportunity for a Junior Accountant, who will be an integral part of the company's future plans to expand beyond their 6 UK venues. Your new role Serve as the primary finance liaison for General Managers. Oversee the purchase ledger, handling invoice processing and payment runs. Conduct daily bank reconciliations, ensuring accurate Trial Balance entries. Prepare monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations. Ensure precise VAT returns, financial reports, and adherence to company policies. Support payroll reviews, expense management, and drive efficiency improvements. Assist in budget planning, forecasting, and variance analysis. Collaborate with auditors and tax advisors, managing finance system setups for new team members. What you'll need to succeed A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or a related discipline. Fundamental knowledge of accounting principles. Proficiency in accounting software, preferably Xero, ApprovalMax, Pleo, and Datamolino. A reputation for honesty, integrity, and reliability. Strong organisational and communication skills. Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Discretion and an understanding of handling confidential company information.
