35 Hour Contract - Permanent Starting salary from £25,000pa We are looking for a full-time Custody Engagement and Diversion Keyworker to work within Police Custody Suites in Swansea. This vacancy will provide early identification and on the day support and engagement, triage and continuity of care, enabling Women and Young Adults to engage in wider community based support which addresses their individual needs. This role is restricted to female applicants only in accordance with the provisions of the occupational requirement (Equality Act 2010, pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1). As an engagement and diversion keyworker you will:- Work within police custody providing early identification and on the day support and engagement, triage and continuity of care, enabling Women and Young Adults to engage in wider community based support which addresses their individual needs. These needs may include housing, substance misuse, health, finance, previous trauma, children & families and education, training and employment with the aim of reducing social harms and re-offending whilst empowering women and Young Adults to access opportunities to reach their full potential. Develop and maintain effective relationships within police and custody units promoting the service, and working with the police to divert women and young adults into the One Wales service Undertake cell sweeps and engagement with all women and young adults (18-25) We recognise that employees from different backgrounds bring unique knowledge, perspectives and experiences and we are committed to increasing the diversity of our workforce and welcome applications from individuals across all sectors of society.
