Flexible Administrator/Crisis Worker - North Yorkshire

The role of Flexible Administrator/Crisis Worker is vital in supporting victims of sexual assault. You will act as an advocate for patients, empowering them to feel in control and supporting them through the forensic process, managing patient care pathways, and ensuring smooth day-to-day service delivery.
Main duties of the job
* Be the first point of contact for service users.
* Administer and support the process for service users and their families visiting the centre, including preparing patients and assisting in forensic evidence collection.
* Support the SARC Manager with daily centre operations.
* Maintain high standards of DNA anti-contamination between forensic cases (cleaning).
* Assist patients and liaise with other agencies regarding patient pathways.
* Prepare, support service users, and act as an advocate during their time at the SARC.
* Liaise with stakeholders such as Police, NHSE, ISVA, and Social Services.
* Be a key member of the SARC team and wider organization.

Job responsibilities
Location: North Yorkshire SARC, with additional locations including Humberside, South Yorkshire, and West Yorkshire SARC.
Salary: £26,591.40 pro rata for 32 hours/week. Job share considered.
Rota: Flexible seven-day rota, including 9am-5pm, 5pm-1am, and 1am-9am shifts.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Due to the nature of the role, applications are invited from females only, under the Sex Discrimination Act.
* A UK driving license and access to a vehicle are required, as travel across SARC locations may be needed.
* Advanced DBS and Level 2 Police vetting required.
Experience
* Experience in a supportive or customer-focused environment.
* Knowledge of safeguarding, confidentiality, and working with individuals with complex needs or who have experienced sexual assault.
* Skills in resource creation, outreach, and presentation.
