The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and client focused Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Building Services expert and lead to join our growing team in Glasgow. As part of the Senior Team and under our Partner/Director, the Associate Director will take responsibility for the operational delivery of projects, the management of project teams, the management of client relationships and the line management of teams as well as to play a leading role in ensuring the successful delivery of innovative design solutions for some of the exciting building projects in Edinburgh and around the region.
Working across a variety of sectors such as Education, Commercial, Retail and Critical Systems, you will manage and control financial aspects of projects and work closely with colleagues of various disciplines to manage the delivery of technically excellent, profitable projects.
You will be an expert in design and Engineering within your discipline and across Building Services and be part of a global skills community for sharing knowledge, projects and your specific expertise.
You will develop new and nurture existing outstanding client relationships and ensure repeat business as well as use your wealth of expertise and determination to manage, motivate and lead our group of multi-disciplinary engineers.
The Skills
A Chartered Engineer, educated to degree level in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering, you have gained vast experience within a building services context. Ideally having more than 10- 15 years of experience in a similar role. You also possess a strong understanding of low energy design and have proven your technical expertise in the relevant design software.
In your most recent position, you would have consistently demonstrated your ability to manage multiple large-scale projects and teams to deliver to, and exceed client expectations, and crucially you have a passion for creative and intuitive design.
Given the collaborative and client focused nature of this role, excellent communication and project management skills are essential. Regional or international experience would be an added advantage.
