Account Manager – Food Ingredients (North of England Focus, Remote)
£50,000-£55,000 + Car & Bonus
This isn’t one of those Account Manager roles where everything runs itself.
You’ll be looking after a significant customer base, with plenty going on and expectations to match. It’ll keep you busy, but in a good way.
The role
You’ll be managing and growing a portfolio of B2B food manufacturing customers, mostly across the North of England. It’s a mix of keeping key accounts happy while also spotting opportunities to grow them.
So yes, relationship management matters.
But so does commercial thinking.
And so does being able to handle customers who aren’t always easy.
You’ll be:
* Managing large manufacturing accounts with significant spend
* Developing new opportunities within existing customers
* Having proper commercial conversations (not just “checking in”)
* Travelling to customers when needed — this isn’t a behind-the-screen role
What they’re looking for
* Experience managing B2B accounts within food manufacturing
* Ideally some exposure to food ingredients
* Comfortable handling a decent-sized account base
* A mix of account management and business development skills
If you’ve worked with large food manufacturers before, you’ll probably feel at home here.
If you need everything perfectly structured and sign-off from three people before making a decision… probably not.
