Accountant -Personal Tax

A well-established and forward-thinking accountancy practice in Wimborne is seeking a motivated Personal Tax Accountant to join its growing team. You'll work with a varied portfolio of clients, gaining exposure to both compliance and advisory work, while being supported to progress towards managing your own portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage personal tax returns — Prepare Self Assessment Tax Returns for a diverse client base including individuals, HNWIs, landlords, and sole traders.
* Develop your own portfolio — Work towards taking ownership of a client portfolio with ongoing support.
* Provide tailored tax advice — Assist clients with matters such as buy-to-let taxation, foreign income, residency, and Capital Gains Tax.
* Act as a trusted point of contact — Liaise with clients and HMRC, handling queries and supporting tax enquiries.
* Ensure accurate compliance — Deliver high-quality, accurate tax compliance work as the core focus of the role.
What you will need. xsngvjr
* Minimum 2 years' experience within an accountancy practice
* Strong working knowledge of UK personal tax and Self Assessment
* Commercial awareness and a client-first mindset
* Proficiency with tax software (IRIS preferred) and Microsoft Office
* Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills
* Proactive attitude and eagerness to grow
Preferred (not essential)
* ATT qualification or part-qualified
* Interest in progressing towards CTA
