PAYROLL & FINANCE OFFICER
FULL TIME: 37hrs

JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for preparing the monthly payroll up to the point of final checking. This must be both accurate and timely to meet all payroll deadlines. To triage all payroll/timesheet queries and resolve issues without handoff where possible. Carry out other finance tasks within the finance department in areas of daily financial transactional processing.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
* Ensure Two Saints’ monthly payroll is accurately prepared each month and liaise with HR where necessary, including attending the monthly HR-Payroll meetings.
Taking on the day to day responsibilities including:
* Ensuring that all the tasks around the monthly and weekly pay are complete
* Supervising a member of the finance team to ensure that the weekly attendance management for our monthly staff is complete and accurate.
* Supervising a member of the finance team to ensure that the weekly payroll is accurately prepared and staff are paid on time, and any pension liabilities are correctly reflected
* ·Assist with the administrative processing on the housing management rent database, including correction of user errors and checking Housing Benefit overpayment requests, write off and write backs
* Prepare the rent breakdown for any new sublets, using the template set at the start of each financial year, ensure any new properties are set up in all appropriate databases
* Ensure that the rent payable for all sublets is correct and paid in a timely manner
* Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and ensure that communications are clear and promote the values of Two Saints at all times
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA FOR ROLE (Minimum requirements on appointment to this job)
* Payroll qualification or qualified by experience
* Good standard of general education
* Proficiency in standard accounts packages
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer packages including Word, Excel and Outlook
* To understand and display the values of Two Saints at all times
