The Role This is a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant position supporting pupils aged 5–15. Working hours are 8.45am to 4.15pm. Primary-based work is available, with opportunities to support children across a range of ages. You will work closely with teaching staff to support learning in the classroom, help pupils engage with activities, and provide consistent support that encourages confidence, independence, and progress. An immediate start is available for the right candidate. Student Needs Pupils may present with a range of special educational needs, including autism spectrum conditions, learning difficulties, communication needs, and social, emotional or behavioural challenges. The school places a strong emphasis on understanding each child as an individual and providing tailored support in a calm and structured setting. Requirements Applicants must have a minimum of 6 months’ childcare experience, particularly supporting children with SEN needs. Experience working in an educational or care setting is highly desirable. You should be patient, adaptable, and confident building positive relationships with children, with a supportive and inclusive approach to learning.
