Enterprise Infrastructure (EI) sits at the heart of Chief Technology Office (CTO) – operating, maintaining & transforming the on-premise technology infrastructure used by HSBC to host applications & services. EI’s product catalogue spans servers, storage, databases, mainframe, middleware, internal cloud & automation technologies amongst others.
You will lead the delivery of strategic transformation within Enterprise Infrastructure – with a focus on driving infrastructure standardisation (eg: remediate non-standard implementations; improve governance & controls; ensure appropriate support models are in-place).
Key duties include the following:
• Business case development in partnership with platform leads & architecture
• Definition & execution of project plan
• Programme / project management – budget, milestones, dependencies, risks etc
• Engagement with vendors to obtain resourcing where required
• Facilitate collaboration between technical & non-technical stakeholders
• Representation of programme / projects at Steering Committees
• Definition & agreement of plans to transition from project into BAU operation
Key skills / experience required:
• Proven experience of leading the delivery of large-scale technology transformation / strategy
• Combined technical & programme management skillset
• Understanding of technology infrastructure & relationship with consuming applications & services
• Expert relationship management & ability to influence a diverse range of senior stakeholders
• Commercial experience including partnership with vendors to deliver outcomes
• Budget & resource management
