Job Description
We are a small rural primary school looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Individual Needs Assistant to support the EHCP provision for a KS1 child.
Contract Details
* Hours of work: 13 hours per week.
* Working pattern: Part-time, term‑time only (39 weeks per year plus 6 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years of continuous service).
* Salary: pro rata.
* Fixed term: To be confirmed.
* Schedule: 13 hours per week, may include time supporting playtime; pattern to be discussed at interview.
Responsibilities
* Support the Individual’s needs as outlined in the EHCP.
* Work with a KS1 child, providing assistance within the school setting.
* Assist during playtime where appropriate.
* Collaborate with teaching and support staff to promote the child’s development.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Recent experience of working with children in school.
* Willingness or current status to hold or obtain an enhanced DBS check or DBS check for Regulated Activity.
* Completion of a Childcare Disqualification Application form.
* Self‑declaration that you have not been disqualified under the Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2018.
* If found disqualified, subject to waiver application to Ofsted.
