Overview
Two Procurement Manager roles available in the East of England (Peterborough).
Department: Specialist Lead. SL1. Post Type: Permanent. Working Pattern: Full Time. Salary: £49,500 - £60,500. Location: Head Office – CITB, Sand Martin House, Bittern Way, Fletton Quays, Peterborough, PE2 8TY.
Responsibilities
* Act as a category specialist in HR/IT/Marketing, providing expert knowledge to the Commercial and Contracts team and advising on the most effective procurement approaches for goods and services.
* Develop and implement procurement strategies and manage the full procurement process, including market research, issuing tenders via the procurement platform, collating responses, communicating with suppliers, and feeding back to bidders while supporting final contract development.
* Collaborate with the Commercial and Contract Manager to ensure briefs and specifications are correct, participate in evaluation briefings and consensus meetings, and ensure final contracts are appropriate.
* Publish all notices in line with Public Procurement Regulations.
* Ensure procurement activities are completed in a timely manner in support of the organisation's needs.
* Ensure compliance with Public Procurement Regulations and CITB policies in all procurement activities.
* Manage the lifecycle of contracts, monitor end dates, and allow sufficient time for the procurement process.
* Maintain and update contractual information on the contract platform.
Essential experience
* Excellent communication skills to influence outcomes and clarify expectations.
* Strong analytical abilities to evaluate information and support decision-making.
* Proven experience in various procurement approaches within the public sector.
* In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and EU frameworks.
* Understanding of cross-functional business integration to support company-wide objectives.
Desirable experience
* Public Procurement experience.
* MCIPS.
* TPP accreditation.
