Spire Little Aston Hospital has an opportunity for an experienced Oncology Pharmacist to join our bank team.
You’ll be a part of a specialist oncology and haematology service, supporting the safe and effective delivery of chemotherapy treatments within a patient-focused environment.
The Role
1. Support the delivery of a comprehensive oncology pharmacy service
2. Liaise with nursing teams to manage daily patient workload
3. Screen prescriptions and ensure chemotherapy is prepared and available
4. Review patient results and assess fitness for treatment
5. Release medications at discharge and provide patient advice
6. Conduct follow-up calls to monitor side effects and support patients
Who We’re Looking For
7. GPhC registered Pharmacist
8. Oncology pharmacy experience essential
9. Experience in dispensing and screening within a hospital setting
10. Ideally BOPA SACT accredited (or working towards)
11. Confident working autonomously within a specialist service
12. Strong communication skills with a patient-focused approach
13. Flexible to work ad-hoc shifts
