In this position, you'll play an important part in caring for patients in our Psychiatric Intensive Care Units and Older Age Acute units. Working closely with experienced Consultant Psychiatrists, you'll be involved in a wide range of responsibilities including assessments, examinations, treatment planning, psychoeducation, and medication reviews. You'll also support tribunal reports, CPA documentation, and more.
Every day will be different. You'll be part of a team that responds to psychiatric emergencies and supports patients in crisis, making a real difference when it matters most.

What you'll need to join us:
1. A medical degree (MBBS or equivalent)
2. Full GMC registration in the UK
3. Completion of Foundation Year 1 (F1) and Foundation Year 2 (F2) or equivalent
4. Strong communication and teamwork skills
5. A compassionate, patient-focused approach

About Us
Baldock Manor is a 40-bed hospital in north Hertfordshire providing specialist psychiatric services for adults. The hospital has two female PICU (Psychiatric Intensive Care) wards and two acute wards. Our PICU services support women at crisis level with severe mental disorders requiring rapid assessment and stabilization. Our acute wards care for older adults, usually 55 years or older, needing short-term hospital stays to stabilize their mental health, with an average stay of less than forty days.
