Criminal Defence Solicitor - Salisbury or Melksham

We're seeking a motivated solicitor to handle a varied criminal caseload. Whether you're looking for full-time, part-time, or flexible hours, our client are open to shaping the role around the right candidate.
The Role
* Advising clients on criminal matters, funding options, and case strategy
* Representing clients at police stations, courts, and detention centres (day and night)
* Preparing legal documents, statements, and correspondence
* Liaising with counsel, experts, and third parties
* Reviewing evidence, negotiating outcomes, and managing hearings
* Ensuring compliance with LAA, SRA, and internal standards
* Supervising junior staff (if applicable)
Requirements
* Qualified Solicitor or ILEX Accredited
* Duty Solicitor status (or willingness to qualify)
* Experience managing criminal defence cases
* Strong advocacy, client care, and organisational skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems
* Full UK driving licence
