Job Overview
This role is for a Safeguarding & Quality Assurance - Independent reviewing Officer within Children’s Safeguarding & Review Service and is responsible for chairing child‑led review meetings and overseeing planning for Cared for Children.
Responsibilities
* Working in collaboration with children and their families to drive and influence their future plans.
* Oversee children’s plans to deliver better outcomes.
* Working in partnership to advocate best practice in children’s planning.
Qualifications and Experience
* You must be a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration and hold 5 years’ post‑qualifying statutory Social Work experience with children.
* You must have leadership/supervisory experience.
* You must be passionate about children and demonstrate aspirations for great outcomes for our children and families.
* You will ensure that children and families are actively involved in their child protection planning and are able to co‑produce plans.
* You will oversee and review children’s plans and ensure this is effective in demonstrating impact on children’s safety, success and health.
* You must be highly motivated to work with children and young people of all ages and with children from diverse backgrounds.
