Overview
The roles available are CEMA intelligence analyst roles, which provide support to Defence cyber operations, front-line commands, and capability development projects. CEMA and C4I are crucial areas for UK STRATCOM and wider Defence, providing opportunities to deliver value for Defence priorities.
Embedded into the DI CA-Air and Space branch as part of a small team, the post focuses on the assessment of C4I (command, control, communications, computers, intelligence) technologies of ground and air-based systems related to the Air domain. Residing solely in the DI CA Cyber branch, the posts focus on providing research, briefings and assessments on C4I technology for military multi-domain systems related to specific regions in focus.
The role-holders will focus primarily on the production of intelligence assessment across a broad portfolio, whilst developing subject matter expertise and supporting project work. The work may focus on longer-term projects across a broad portfolio whilst developing subject matter expertise and conducting detailed analysis. The changing demands of the work will mean the roles will require flexibility to focus on an array of defence requirements, covering a range of regional areas and C4I technologies. The work is varied, with regular new developments making this a particularly exciting area and offers excellent opportunities to use and develop analytical and technical knowledge.
You will be exposed to multiple teams across DI, key internal MOD departments and the wider UK intelligence community. You will engage internationally with a range of intelligence partners, which may offer opportunities for international travel.
These roles do not involve line management responsibilities.
Responsibilities
* Lead and support a variety of all-source assessments to inform MOD, as well as the broader UK and international community partners of cyber opportunities in support of Defence priorities.
* Delivering written and oral assessments to a variety of MOD, cross government, and international customers.
* Keeping abreast of all-source reporting that may impact ongoing project areas of focus.
* Gathering customer requirements and identifying gaps that could be supported with assessment.
* Driving collaboration with related teams across Defence Intelligence.
* Ensure daily review of reporting that may impact ongoing project areas of focus.
* Build and maintain collaborative working with various national and international partners and organisations.
