Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Children's Worker to join a highly respected therapeutic residential school in Witney, Oxfordshire. As a Residential Children's Worker, you will play a vital role in creating a warm, structured, and therapeutic home environment, supporting children with emotional, behavioural, and social needs. This is a truly rewarding role where you will make a meaningful difference every day, helping children build confidence and develop essential life skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing day-to-day care, emotional support, and positive role modelling to children with complex needs
* Engaging children in creative, fun, and educational activities to promote learning and development
* Supporting routines, personal development, and everyday living skills to enhance independence
* Using therapeutic approaches to help children manage emotions and build resilience
* Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive support
* Maintaining a safe, nurturing, and consistent environment that promotes well-being and growth
Required Skills & Experience
* Experience supporting children or young people in care, education, SEN, or residential settings
* A calm, empathetic approach and strong communication skills to build trust and rapport with children
* The ability to work as part of a supportive team to provide cohesive care and support
* A driving licence (desirable due to location)
