Location: South Wales
Pay rate: £38 per hour
We are looking for experienced and passionate Social Workers to join the Community Team. Ideally, candidates will have 2-3 years’ experience within Adults Social Care. Throughout your work, you will uphold and champion best practices, focusing on solving problems early and meeting the needs of vulnerable adults to reduce harm.
This team collaborates with professionals from health, therapies, external providers, and families. It is an exciting time to join adult social care, with friendly, experienced, and supportive colleagues dedicated to citizen-centered service.
Working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, informed by social care values and principles, you will support the delivery of person-centered, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge and experience, you will make assessments and decisions about appropriate interventions. Excellent communication skills and significant social work experience will enable you to build and maintain relationships with service users and agencies to ensure needs are met.
You will be committed to achieving positive and sustainable outcomes, striving to provide the best results for adults. Your passion for supporting adults and their families to thrive and flourish is essential. Our priority is to protect the vulnerable and operate efficiently.
Ideal candidate will be:
* Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
* Experienced in working with adults and vulnerable families
* Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking
* Knowledgeable of child protection legislation and issues
* Dedicated to continuous improvement for adult outcomes
* Skilled in mediation and negotiation on behalf of service users
* Capable of building meaningful relationships with adults and families
* Committed to high-quality service provision
* Experienced in multi-disciplinary, interagency work
* Over 4 years qualified
In this role, you will:
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of risks, protection, and social care needs
* Manage an agreed caseload
* Use specialist communication skills to achieve optimal outcomes
* Develop individual care plans respecting diversity, dignity, and empowerment
* Support and advise unqualified staff and students for development
