We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Manager for a busy manufacturing company based in Huddersfield, HD5.
This is a permanent role, and an excellent opportunity to join a well established, expanding company.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
• To lead site Engineering and Technical teams to minimize any losses and maximise factory flow.
• Coaching, training, and guidance of resources as needed.
• Management of technical staff, including dealing with HR related issues and recruitment.
• To manage site services, ensuring that site equipment is maintained and improved in a safe and efficient way.
• Assignment of workloads in line with daily priorities
• Lead the successful transition of new products to standard production through a partnership with Sales, Engineering, and the Manufacturing team.
• Prepare KPI presentations for the Board ensuring all relevant technical KPI’s are achieved.
• Manage technical systems and procedures to ensure the continued certification of agreed legal, design and technical standards.
• Liaise with or control the liaison of external contractors ensuring that all parties adhere to the systems and procedures.
• To assist the management of technical process within an ISO 9001 and BRCGS environment
• To take part in and lead improvement activities
• To take part in the Health and Safety Committee or other representation roles as and when required.
• To behave in a manner that is safe and that promotes good manufacturing practice.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
• Must hold an Engineering Qualification with proven working experience as a hands-on Engineer/ Manager.
• To possess strong leadership skills and decision-making ability.
• Being able to and with experience of maintaining equipment and premises
• Ability to create and introduce new processes.
• Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards
• Ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
• Project management and supervision skills
• Excellent time management and organisation skills
• Excellent computer skills.
• To implement and understand TPM and improvement processes
• A good understanding and experience of ISO 9001
• A good understanding and experience of BRCGS
Hours:
• Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 16.30, 15 minutes paid morning break and 30 minutes unpaid lunch break
• Friday 08.00 – 13:30 and 30 minutes unpaid lunch break with flexibility
• Some flexiblity when working will be required
Salary:
• £55,000 annual salary
