What you will do: Perform a range of respiratory diagnostic tests, including spirometry, lung function testing, and gas transfer analysis Prepare patients and explain procedures, ensuring informed consent and patient comfort Operate and maintain respiratory diagnostic equipment in line with clinical standards Analyse and interpret physiological data, identifying abnormal results and escalating where appropriate Produce accurate and timely clinical reports and documentation Person specification: Qualifications Degree in Clinical Physiology, Healthcare Science, or a related discipline Registration & Certification Registration with the Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists (RCCP) or the Academy for Healthcare Science (AHCS) (or working towards) Evidence of ongoing Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Enhanced DBS Key Skills Strong technical knowledge of respiratory physiology and lung function testing Ability to analyse and interpret physiological data accurately Excellent communication and patient-care skills High attention to detail and clinical accuracy Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team Good IT and reporting skills Experience Experience working as a Respiratory Physiologist or within a respiratory diagnostics service Experience performing spirometry, lung function testing, and other respiratory investigations Experience working in an NHS or hospital setting Experience supervising or supporting junior staff is desirable Why Romford?
