Customer Service AdvisorBasildon Permanent, Full Time We’re looking for a proactive and organised Customer Service Advisor to join our busy call centre team in Basildon. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with excellent communication skills and a passion for providing first-class service in a fast-paced environment. About the RoleAs a Customer Service Advisor, you’ll be the first point of contact for tenants, handling incoming calls and emails and ensuring that repair and maintenance requests are managed efficiently. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Responding to customer calls and emails with professionalism and empathy. Diagnosing repair requests and scheduling appointments using the MSI system. Coordinating with operatives and subcontractors to allocate jobs effectively. Keeping customers updated throughout their repair journey and ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met. Liaising with supervisors and planners to confirm materials, access, and readiness for appointments. Recording accurate information to support first-time fixes and excellent service delivery. Escalating issues when required and supporting continuous improvement within the team. This is a role where no two days are the same — you’ll be problem-solving, multitasking, and helping customers get the service they deserve. About YouWe’re looking for someone who: Has experience within social housing, maintenance, or repairs Has proven experience in a customer service or call centre environment. Is confident handling high call volumes while maintaining quality and empathy. Possesses strong organisational and administrative skills with great attention to detail. Is proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using CRM systems (experience with MSI is advantageous). Most importantly, you’ll be someone who takes pride in helping others, can stay calm under pressure, and enjoys working as part of a supportive, customer-focused team.
