About the role We are seeking a dynamic Regional Business Development Manager to lead and grow our sales presence across the Southern UK, Ireland. This role is responsible for driving revenue, expanding market share, and seeking out new business opportunities across the region. You will work closely with both direct and indirect sales channels to grow Keeler’s portfolio of ophthalmic instruments in key markets including Optometry, Schools, Ophthalmology, and General Medicine. You will be accountable for achieving sales and margin targets across a broad customer base—from distribution partners to individual practitioners and academic institutions. This is a high-impact role requiring hands-on sales execution, and a deep understanding of customer needs. Sales, Market Share & Revenue Growth Drive and be responsible for sales activity across the designated region, delivering against revenue and margin targets. Work closely with, and support UK sales teams both internal & external to exceed growth objectives. Develop and maintain strong relationships with distribution partners, public and private healthcare providers, universities, and training institutions. Identify and execute new business opportunities across all sectors. Attend and represent Keeler at key industry events, exhibitions, and conferences. Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline to ensure future growth beyond immediate targets. Market & Customer Strategy Implement the regional sales strategy in alignment with global business goals. Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify areas of opportunity. Work with Product Management and Education teams to identify and engage with Key Opinion Leaders in the UK, to drive advocacy and thought leadership for Keeler products. Support tender responses, contract negotiations, and pricing strategies, ensuring alignment with company policies and governance. Sales Execution & Process Management Own the full sales cycle—from prospecting to closing and post-sales support. Ensure external partners are fully equipped and trained in Keeler’s product portfolio. Collaborate cross-functionally to support order fulfilment and customer satisfaction. Maintain detailed records of pipeline activity, customer engagements, and market feedback. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and operational guidelines. Champion a culture of continuous improvement by participating in internal innovation projects. About You Education & Experience 5 years of sales and business development experience, ideally in the medical device sector. Experience in ophthalmic, optometry, or healthcare distribution is strongly preferred. Proven track record of closing high-value deals and growing revenue in a competitive market.
