Rate: £25 – £27 per hour (Umbrella equivalent via DE)

We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our esteemed client in Brighton. This role involves supporting biomedical scientists in laboratory operations, ensuring the accurate processing and analysis of samples. The successful candidate will assist in sample preparation, data entry, and maintaining laboratory equipment, contributing to the smooth functioning of the department.
Key Responsibilities
The role requires expertise in laboratory procedures, including receiving, sorting, and labeling samples, ensuring they are processed efficiently. The assistant will be responsible for preparing chemical solutions, operating laboratory equipment, and maintaining accurate records of test results. Additionally, supporting quality control procedures, adhering to health and safety regulations, and ensuring compliance with laboratory protocols are essential aspects of the role.
Qualifications & Experience
* Relevant laboratory experience (preferred).
* GCSEs in Science, Math, and English (or equivalent).
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
* Basic IT skills for data entry and record-keeping.
