Our clients warehouse is the heart of their operation, and they rely on skilled, motivated leaders to ensure its success. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Warehouse Team Leader to join our clients dynamic team.
The Role
As a Warehouse Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of warehouse operatives to ensure daily operations run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. Reporting to the Warehouse Shift Manager, you will be a hands-on leader who motivates, coaches, and develops your team to achieve and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of warehouse operatives, delegating tasks effectively and ensuring clear communication.
* Operational Management: Coordinate daily warehouse operations, including inbound receiving, picking, packing, dispatch, and inventory control.
* Performance and Productivity: Drive your team to meet and exceed productivity targets, maintaining a constant presence on the warehouse floor to monitor progress.
* Health and Safety: Uphold and enforce all company health, safety, and environmental regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
* Training and Development: Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to support the professional growth of your team.
* Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve operational issues or bottlenecks. Escalate major problems to management as necessary.
* Inventory Accuracy: Ensure all stock movements and inventory records are accurate and up-to-date, performing regular stock checks and audits.
* Process Improvement: Identify and recommend improvements to warehouse processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience as a Warehouse Team Leader or Supervisor in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
* Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A keen eye for detail and a focus on accuracy.
* A good understanding of health and safety standards.
* The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
* A valid forklift license is preferred but not essential.
The salary range is dependent on experience.
Working hours are Monday to Friday
4pm to 12am
