Are you a calm, caring person who can think on your feet and stay composed in a crisis? This could be a great fit.
Blackpool Council’s Vitaline service is the town’s Community Alarm Centre. We support people to live independently at home, using a mix of advanced technology and in-person visits via our Mobile Warden service.
The role
As a Vitaline First Responder, you will:
*
Provide a monitoring and emergency response service to vulnerable customers
*
Respond to alerts and calls, either in person or via communication equipment
*
Help people keep or regain their independence and remain safely in their own homes
*
Deliver an out-of-hours service to other Council departments
*
Work as part of a fast-moving, innovative and customer-focused team
This is a varied role where no two days are the same and you’ll be making a real difference to people’s lives every shift.
What we’re looking for
*
A motivated, flexible and resilient “people person”
*
Experience working with vulnerable people (paid or voluntary) is an advantage
*
Able to adapt to change and remain calm under pressure
*
Strong customer service skills and a compassionate approach
*
Good IT and keyboard skills
*
Able to work variable shifts across days, evenings and weekends
*
Full driving licence and access to your own transport
*
Able to pass an Enhanced DBS check
If you’re passionate about helping people live safely and independently and you’re looking for a role where your work genuinely matters, we’d love to hear from you
