Imagine working in a nursery with the breathtaking Holyrood Park as your outdoor playground! Nestled in the heart of historic Edinburgh, just a stone's throw from Holyrood Palace, Elsie Inglis Nursery offers a unique and inspiring environment for both children and educators alike.

We’re a charming, single-story nursery with space for up to 65 children, housed in a repurposed former maternity hospital. Every day here is an opportunity to nurture young minds and make a real impact in a setting that’s brimming with history and character.

We’re seeking a Room Leader to join Elsie Inglis Nursery.

* £29,536 per annum

Work-life balance - full-time positions can be over 4 or 5 days – flexible options available.

The Role

* Lead, mentor, and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education
* Ensure the learning environment provides consistent stimulation and engaging activities indoors and outdoors
* Plan and deliver rich learning opportunities to help children develop and meet milestones
* Build strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, carers, and other professionals to meet individual needs
* Maintain child welfare, protection, health, safety, and safeguarding procedures at all times
* Foster a positive, happy, and safe environment daily

What we’re looking for

* Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
* Passion for creating inclusive, fun learning environments
* Understanding of the Scottish Curriculum frameworks
* Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
* Ability to build trust and strong partnerships with colleagues and parents
