Credit Control Clerk
to join our dynamic Finance team in Ashford on a permanent basis! As a vital part of our Finance department, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, helping us deliver on our promises to customers while exceeding their expectations. You’ll thrive in our inclusive team environment, and we guarantee you’ll have some fun along the way! This role offers flexible hybrid working, with 2-3 days in our Ashford, Kent office for team collaboration and meetings. So, being within a commutable distance is essential. Your Key Responsibilities:
Manage your own portfolio of accounts, ensuring adherence to payment terms and credit limits while mitigating risks and potential bad debts. Foster effective working relationships and maintain open communication across all finance teams and internal colleagues. Deliver exceptional customer service by building strong working relationships with customers. Meet targeted KPIs using department procedures. Handle incoming calls and accurately record all queries to support cash collection activities. Manage queries by providing copy invoices, proof of delivery, credit notes, and liaising internally to resolve payment issues. Participate in internal and external customer meetings. Escalate any internal or payment issues with customers to management. Continuously seek improvement and identify best practices that positively impact business results. Perform other ad hoc duties as requested by your Team Leader/Manager. About You:
No previous finance experience? No problem! We provide comprehensive training. However, we’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a keen interest in Finance or Credit Control. You should be comfortable using Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and v-lookups) and possess strong communication skills to engage with both external customers and internal colleagues at all levels.
