Job Description
Position Summary
This development role requires an individual with high levels of administrative competence. The Commercial Associate holds an essential interfacing position, engaging with all business stakeholders (internal and external), ensuring comprehensive management of the customer account order books, and providing both the customers and the business with comprehensive analysis in an effective and professional manner.
Specific Requirements of the Role
The Commercial Associate position shall include, but is not limited to:
* Entering/maintaining sales orders, supporting sales forecasts and the budget.
* Interface with the customer building strong, long-term relationships as a key part of the first line of enquiry process.
* Providing accurate and timely quotations in response to Request for Quote (RFQs) or repair requests from customers.
* Validation of sales orders or repair order requests, against customer terms and conditions, quality requirements, etc.
* Accurate checking and acknowledgment of Purchase Orders, ensuring full compliance with ITC (International Trade Compliance) requirements, and validating against existing pricing.
* Compile and analyze customer performance data (against order book changes, program rates, 'in-contract' demand changes, etc.), identifying key risks and opportunities to the business.
* Ensure all system quoted prices are contractually agreed and accurately support current exchange rates (where applicable).
* Identify and deliver opportunities to enhance the profitability of the business.
Provide support for departmental and related activities. Other duties as assigned to meet customer and internal needs.
Job Requirements
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Responsibilities:
* Excellent administration and communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
* Interest in learning and developing within the team.
* Task and achievement focused.
* Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and seek guidance when needed.
* High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
* Interest in learning new software systems, such as MRP and customer portals for sales order management (desirable).
* Knowledge of electronics manufacturing is a significant benefit.
* Commitment to high health and safety standards and environmental initiatives.
Qualifications
* Experience in administration or customer management is beneficial.
* Experience in manufacturing or aerospace environment is advantageous.
* Knowledge of ERP systems is desirable.
* Maths and English qualifications preferred.
* HNC/HND in Business Management or similar experience preferred.
Located at our Deeside facility. Travel to other Triumph and customer locations worldwide may be required. Hours: 37 hours/week; flexibility needed based on workload.
