The Head of Track Asset Management & Technical Assurance reports to the Head of Permanent Way and is a key strategic leadership role in the Infrastructure & Projects Permanent Way Department with significant influence across the wider Translink business. The main purpose of the role is to manage a team of internal and external resources reaching across multiple technical disciplines.
The post holder will be required to set targets, identify resources and manage and monitor strategic direction in the designated areas of responsibility to ensure the safe running of railway passenger services, safe completion of engineering works and safe management of Translink assets.
Essential Criteria
* Degree (or equivalent) in Civil/Structural Engineering, or a Construction related equivalent.
* Chartered Engineer, or capable of attaining chartership with a relevant professional body such as PWI, ICE, I StructE, EI etc.
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in maintenance, refurbishment, or renewal of track assets, including the application of engineering standards and policy.
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in project engineering or asset management.
* A minimum of 5 years' experience of managing and programming resources including staff and external suppliers, financial budget control, project management processes and practices.
* Full current driving licence and access to a vehicle to meet the requirements of the post in full.
