Role: Technician - Electrical
Hours: 36.25 hours per week
Salary: £23,370.00 - £24,429.00 FTE
Employer Pension Contribution: 20.8% (£4,860.96 - £5,081.23 FTE)
Location: Stretford Campus (may require cover at other sites across the group)
The Trafford & Stockport College Group (TSCG) invites applications for an experienced Technician to join our Construction team, supporting our mission to unlock potential and foster success.
The successful applicant will join a team dedicated to supporting the Group in delivering high-quality learning programmes.
The Role:
As an Electrical Technician, you will provide high-quality workshop support to ensure practical classes meet required standards. Responsibilities include maintaining stock levels of tools and equipment, auditing storerooms, and supporting teaching staff in workshops. Teamwork and effective communication are essential.
About You:
If you are passionate about your expertise, eager to share your knowledge, and enthusiastic about supporting apprentices, this is a great opportunity.
It is advantageous to hold a Level 2 or 3 qualification in electrical work or equivalent experience as a qualified electrician. You should be qualified to at least Level 2, with literacy and numeracy at Level 2. A current First Aid qualification and Fire Marshall training are desirable, or willingness to undertake training.
We aim to develop your skills further, including training you through a TAQA qualification to enable assessment and progression into teaching or assessing roles within the Group.
