About Us
Located on the outskirts of Maidenhead, Berkshire, our school is dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for up to 100 pupils aged 5 to 18 with complex needs. Your Role
As a SEN Class Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational journey of our pupils. Your responsibilities will include:
* Planning and delivering high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum while addressing the complex SEMH needs of all pupils.
* Supporting the class team in facilitating engaging learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviors.
* Monitoring and reporting on pupils' progress, collaborating with other staff to ensure their needs are met.
* Supervising pupils during non-classroom time, including extracurricular activities and school trips.
* Building positive relationships with your pupils to drive interaction and foster positive learning outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Possess a strong educational background at degree level.
* Have previous successful teaching experience.
* Bring experience working with pupils with SEMH in an educational setting.
* Demonstrate effective behavior management techniques.
* Be committed to professional development and eager to learn.
* Be willing to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to starting work.

The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, the cost of which will be covered by Polaris Education.
