This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to take real ownership of a dedicated area within a busy culinary operation. As our Deli Hand, you'll act as the bridge between the kitchen and front of house—bringing creativity, consistency, and high standards to our deli offer. You will own the deli counter end-to-end, including menu input, ingredient management, preparation, and presentation.This is a full time role, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.Key Responsibilities:Work closely with the kitchen team to plan menus, manage ingredients, minimise waste, and maintain stock levels.Ensure the deli counter is beautifully presented, clean, well-stocked, and engaging for customers.Serve customers with a friendly, professional approach, acting as the face of the deli operation.Handle bespoke customer requests and adapt dishes where possible, maintaining excellent service.Adhere to all food hygiene, allergen, HACCP, and Health & Safety standards.Oversee correct storage, labelling, and rotation of ingredients and equipment.Collaborate with colleagues in both kitchen and front-of-house to support smooth service flow. About You:A passion for food, creativity, and high standards. Experience in a deli, café, or kitchen environment (Commis Chef or similar) is an advantage.Great communication skills with the ability to work well across teams.A proactive, positive attitude with a willingness to take ownership.Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.A good level of spoken English.At Compass Ireland, our people are our business.
