Overview
We currently have 1 x 16 posts available within the Grantham Catering Department. This role is a Catering Assistant with flexibility to work in all areas of catering, mainly in the main kitchens at Grantham. The duties include providing patients meals and meals for the site Restaurant, daily cleaning of kitchen equipment and utensils, supporting the kitchen team with kitchen cleanliness, removing waste to designated areas, and maintaining high standards of personal and general cleanliness and hygiene to comply with statutory regulations. You will be required to work in cold and hot conditions. Hours are from 3pm until 7pm, but on occasions may be asked to work differently. Working days will mostly be any 4 from 7, with weekend work; however, you must be flexible for the needs of the service.

Responsibilities
* Provide patients meals and meals for the site Restaurant.
* Carry out daily cleaning of kitchen equipment and utensils and support overall kitchen cleanliness.
* Remove waste to designated areas and ensure high standards of personal and general cleanliness and hygiene.
* Work in cold and hot conditions and assist the kitchen team as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
* Motivated individual with initiative, good communication skills, and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
* Ability to follow strict hygiene regulations.
* Some knowledge of HACCP and COSHH would be advantageous.
Working Arrangements
* Hours: 3pm–7pm, with potential variations.
* Pattern: typically 4 days from 7 with weekend work; flexible for service needs.
