Residential Child Care Worker, Claremont House, Edge of Care Residential Home
Grade/Salary: Grade 5 (SCP 17 – 22) £31,022 – £36,363 per annum plus 10% shift allowance.
Employment: Permanent | Full-time | 8‑week rota including evenings, weekends & sleep‑ins (£43.12 per sleep‑in).

About the role
Claremont House is an Edge‑of‑Care residential home where children and young people can stay for up to 12 weeks. The aim of our service is to allow work to be undertaken holistically with the family to help repair relationships and reduce risk so children and young people can return to their main caregivers, thereby reducing the need for long‑term care.

Key Responsibilities
* Act as a link worker for an identified child
* Build trusting, nurturing relationships with children and young people
* Support children with emotional regulation, communication, and daily routines
* Work within behaviour support plans and therapeutic approaches
* Promote independence, confidence and positive life experiences
* Work collaboratively with the wider care team, social workers, families and external professionals
* Maintain a safe, structured, and warm home environment
* Participate in activities, outings and community engagement
* Complete accurate and timely records and reports
