An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Digital Print department. We are an established, independent group of companies based in Kent, specialising in digitally printed food packaging. We are seeking a dedicated, hardworking individual to join our friendly and dynamic team.
The successful candidate will work alongside our experienced Production Minders, receiving comprehensive training to operate our Gluing and Cut & Crease machinery. Over time, there will be opportunities for further development, including training to operate our Digital Press.
We are looking for someone with a passion for working in a fast-paced, constantly evolving industry. Above all, you must be hardworking, conscientious, reliable, and eager to learn.
Job Type: Full time
This is initially 09.00-16.30 during training. However, the salary is based on a typical working day of either 07:00- 14:30 OR 12.00- 19.30 (including two 10 minutes breaks). If requested by management some flexibility in working hours may be necessary to meet business needs, with opportunities of paid overtime.
Full Xerox training will be provided alongside internal training on company practices, post successful completion of Finishing & Cut & Crease Training

·Previous experience with commercial digital print is preferred, however training will be provided
·Previous experience within manufacturing, preferably within packaging.
Main Role & Responsibilities:
·Operation of digital printers and software including media and toner replenishment after successful completion of Finishing equipment training.
·Pre-cutting stock to size using guillotine if required.
·File manipulation ready for printing
·Stripping pallets of WIP once they are cut and creased
·Feeding and packing on the gluing line
·Cutting samples when needed using the automated CAD table for customer samples and mock-ups.
·Pallet wrapping and strapping of pallets being despatched.
·Quality checking of product in QA
·Maintain general tidiness in production area, wash room and mezzanine.
·Carrying out daily, weekly & monthly maintenance checks on the machines as required.
·Communicate with the office when problems arise, or something is required.
·Hand gluing samples and small quantity jobs
·Organisation of cutting dies in the racking
·Printing case labels and applying to jobs being despatched
·Flexibility to help in other areas of the business when required
