Salary: £25,476 - £27,919 pro-rata
Overall Purpose of the Post
The Volunteer Engagement Co-Ordinator is responsible for volunteer retention and coordination across the organisation. The role involves managing data, supporting volunteer recruitment, induction, and training, and promoting good practice in volunteer management. The postholder will also contribute to service development, evaluation, and external relationships.
Key Responsibilities
1. Volunteer Coordination: Implement recruitment strategies, maintain the volunteer database, process Access NI checks, and develop new volunteer initiatives. Promote the organisation's work locally and develop links with external agencies.
2. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning: Develop and support evaluation processes, including surveys and case studies, to assess volunteer impact and improve services.
3. Quality Assurance and Development: Review and develop policies, ensure diversity and inclusion, and support compliance with legislation and best practices.
4. Data and Information Management: Collect and analyse data on volunteer activities, ensure GDPR compliance, and support fundraising and communication efforts.
5. External Relationships: Build and maintain stakeholder relationships, attend external meetings, and develop partnerships.
6. General: Support volunteers as part of a multidisciplinary team, promote services, and undertake other duties as required. Flexibility for evening and weekend work is necessary.
Person Specification
Essential: Experience in delivering training and managing volunteers, GCSEs in English and Maths, excellent communication skills, organisational skills, IT proficiency, teamwork, independence, adaptability, empathy, and a valid driving license.
Desirable: Experience in health and social care, community engagement, developing training programmes, and relevant qualifications.
