Your new role
As an Ecologist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality ecological services across a range of projects. Responsibilities include:
1. Leading and conducting ecological surveys (protected species, habitat assessments, biodiversity audits).
2. Preparing ecological reports and contributing to Environmental Impact Assessments.
3. Designing and implementing mitigation measures to protect habitats and enhance biodiversity.
4. Providing expert ecological advice to clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
5. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
What you'll need to succeed
6. Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
7. Minimum 3 years of experience in ecological consultancy, including surveys, assessments, reporting, and small project management.
8. Strong knowledge of UK ecological legislation, guidelines, and best practice.
9. Excellentmunication and stakeholder engagement skills.
10. Experience advising on Biodiversity Net Gain and using the DEFRA Statutory Biodiversity Metric.
11. Protected species licence or ecological specialism (desirable).
12. Membership or eligibility for a relevant professional body (, CIEEM).
13. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
